Refugee Student Art Work #1

In the beginning of the photography class, I asked the students to do what Bethoven did with music. Instead of words, use photos or drawing to express your feelings and experiences. Below are some drawings from our first class. Captions below each photo are translations and comments from the students.

Translation: "God will avenge those who hurt the innocent. Our home will be rebuilt again.” The teacher told the student "That’s exactly what the Bible says. Vengeance is God’s."

Translation: "The worst day of our life was when Isis entered Mosul.. We thought they will be there for a week or two but three years later they're still there!"

"I would like to learn music so I can express my feelings through playing music."
